Amy Nguyen

Associate Director of Orchestras

Amy Nguyen is in her third year of teaching at Otto Middle School as the Associate Director of Orchestras. She is primarily a violist, with experience in piano since she was 4, choir since middle school, and marching band/percussion since high school. Ms. Nguyen earned her Bachelor's of Music Education degree from Baylor University where she was a group and private instructor for Baylor String Project and social media manager. During her student teaching experience, her students earned sweepstakes at UIL Contest and spots in high-performing music schools. She was named Outstanding String Student Teacher of the Year in her last year at Baylor. Ms. Nguyen's ensembles have consistently earned sweepstakes at UIL Contest and Sightreading. She looks forward to developing relationships with her students and creating beautiful music! Outside the classroom, Ms. Nguyen enjoys crocheting, baking, working out, singing, traveling, and spending time with friends.
