Welcome to Art Class! This is my first year at Otto, but I have been teaching art in Plano ISD for 4 years. I have a BFA in Visual Art Studies with a Minor in Art History from the University of Texas at Austin. I am a certified EC-12 Art Teacher in the state of Texas. In my own personal art practice outside of teaching, I am a photographer. I dabble in sculpture as well, but I specialize in film and digital photography mainly. I always tell the students that I think of myself as an artist first and a teacher second. I think it is important for them and for you to know that I value my own creative practice as well as the students'. This way I continue to stay inspired so that I may in turn inspire them. Outside of teaching, I love to travel, hike, read books, and spend time with my English bulldog!
